Tang Wei Martial Arts Association Blog Is Back Home Here!

After a lot of soul searching following Tom's passing, I feel great clarity in the fact that he would want us as a community to continue the work.

Tom stated "Martial Arts is a way of life and living, a way of thinking and behaving".

I know that for many of you like myself, whether actively taking classes or not, that way of life continues for you and that I truly enjoy my association with so many of you that are like a second family.

I have dedicated a tremendous amount of time and energy to organizing Tom's life work to help carry it on one day when he moved on from this life. To be honest, like most of you it really never occurred to me in a real sense that he would be gone so soon.

I have had a lot of people reach out to me and at times ask me where everything is headed. I am honored that many look to me as one of the leaders in our community. The Tang Wei Associate community is a group of mavericks in a lot of way, like a community of lone wolves who like to talk and get together occasionally. One nice side effect from really internalizing what Tom taught is a sort of self-satisfaction that allows you to be fine on your own. With that said, I know there are a lot of people that would train and learn a lot more to further they journey in Wu Ji Quan Fa if it were more readily available for them.

I am glad to say that I have organized the means to teach the system at a far greater efficiency hour for hour than what we learned in my generation and prior of students.

I have had allorigintraining.com up for a couple years to try to facilitate this but it is higher maintenance and less bridged than I want it to be. Overall it was another move setting up my last move though. With each goal and project one learns much from daring to engage and then goes on into the next engagement.

Based on all feedback received, both verbal and sometimes from lack of response I feel that I learned a lot about what all of you need in an online resource and what people are frankly uninterested in. It is my hope that this arrangement while less fancy in terms of the website will far better meet all our aims.

I have had several students that want a hub to be able to talk with other students and instructors and have a platform to discuss the system and to coordinate their training. This blog will become one of the new homes for that for purpose.

I will announce new training resources I can share with students here on the instructional materials page. I will announce upcoming in person training information on the training and consulting page. I plan to make several blog and vlog posts about Wu Ji Quan Fa in general and about Tom's vision and hopes for it that he shared with me over the years. Looking forward to continuing to share Wu Ji Quan Fa with the Tang Wei community in the coming years. My work schedule has become more stable and friendly towards teaching. My family schedule still makes it a challenge at times. Hope all of you are well.

More to come...!!!
